Time Trials National Tour Travel Adventure in July

Time Trials National Tour Travel Adventure in July

Cooped up at home way too long over the last 16 months? Need some “zoom” time that involves a car rather than a laptop or smartphone? Want to test positive for FUN-21 instead of COVID-19 this year? If so, Sports Car Club of America has plans for you!

In July, the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty has three events on the schedule. With a little planning, you can have an adventurous road trip from one coast to the other, plus plenty of track time along the journey! C’mon, you deserve this after sitting at home in quarantine all of last year.

July 4th at a Racetrack!

It was Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, only a two-hour drive east from Palmer Motorsports Park in Massachusetts, where the historic Boston Tea Party took place and got the ball rolling towards American independence. As such, there’s certainly no better place to be July 3-4 than Palmer Motorsports Park for a Time Trials National Tour event.

A Pro/Am event with the awesome folks from Global Time Attack, the 2.3-mile, 14-turn circuit situated within the lushest of forests will likely produce a plethora of fireworks on track. Not sure if you can make it to the Time Trials National Tour at Palmer? We only have one question for you: Why do you hate freedom? Just register for Palmer and show us you love having fun with car in ‘Merica!

Find Your Mid-July Haven

After Massachusetts, Time Trials gives you another new haven in July. No, not Connecticut. This one is in South Haven, Michigan, July 17-18 at GingerMan Raceway. A 2.14-mile, 11-turn circuit, GingerMan has actually been a hotbed for Time Trials competition in recent years.

It’s only a 12-minute drive from the track to the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. As far as weekend getaways go, it’s just a wonderful spot. And be sure to schedule a stop at Sherman’s Dairy Bar for some ice cream, good conversation and great folks. Make time now and register for GingerMan Time Trials National Tour! Then buy a bathing suit, prep your car, and get your mouth ready for some ice cream!

Freedom Month Finishes with Washington!

Our month of celebrating independence wraps up July 24-25 with Time Trials National Tour activities in Washington at Ridge Motorsports Park. And we can think of no better grand finale than to throw another Pro/AM event with Global Time Attack.  There will also be drift exhibitions and a car show, so even when you’re not driving, there will be plenty to do and see! The Ridge is located a mere 90 minutes southwest of Seattle, the 2.47-mile circuit has over 300 feet of elevation gain and loss per lap over 16 turns -- and that includes a 50-foot plunge down the Ridge Complex.

The Northwest is always beautiful any time of year, so go ahead and secure your Time Trials Nationals Tour Ridge Motorsports Park registration today. Seriously, do it now. If Seattle was the root of success for Starbucks, Microsoft and the band Nirvana, how is this not where you begin your career as a pro driver?!

The country is open to you in July. If you’re a “remote” employee, grab your laptop, do some traveling and have some fun with Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty.
