It’s time to make plans for the Tire Rack Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty (TTNT) season opener at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) in Kershaw, South Carolina. The March 26-27 event may seem far off, but it will be here before you know.

Registration for that event opens at 6 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, January 12 with an entry cap of 100 drivers. Please note that an SCCA Annual Membership is now required for all TTNT entrants, and those who have a 2022 ProSolo SuperPass can get $20 off their TTNT entry. Track Events, Too!

TTNT will not be the only SCCA activity taking place March 26-27 at CMP. The SCCA Experiential team will also be hosting special Saturday and Sunday Track Events (TE) that weekend.

A cap of 52 entries exists for Saturday’s TE, and the same goes for Sunday. Participants at either TE will have three sessions on track, and TTNT attendees are welcome to register for the TE sessions at CMP if they’d like to claim a little more time on the 2.27-mile, 14-turn circuit. Reserve your slot now for Saturday, Sunday, or both days!

More About TTNT CMP Event

Check-in for the CMP TTNT weekend will take place Friday evening, March 25, followed by two full days of on-track action slated to include full-course Time Attacks both days, as well as an enjoyable and exciting TrackSprint on Sunday.

The CMP circuit was recently repaved, so tire wear should be gentler than in the past. Will the new pavement result in faster lap times? We’ll have to wait and see, but it certainly won’t be a surprise if CMP TTNT lap records fall over the course of the weekend.

The CMP weekend in March and April’s TTNT at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas, are the only two “primer” events on the 2022 schedule before May’s Tire Rack Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty (TTN) at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Those looking to shake down competition vehicles or knock rust off driving talents before this year’s TTN should reserve a slot for CMP’s TTNT right now before the entry cap is reached.
