2022 Time Trials Nationals: Ride Along

2022 Time Trials Nationals: Ride Along

The 2022 Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty came to a close nearly a month ago, but that doesn’t mean all aspects of the event are over. Far from it. The internet and social media have the power to keep SCCA Time Trials events humming long after the KONI Podium Celebration has wrapped. Since there’s a few weeks before the June 30-July 2, 2022, Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Thompson, CT (you can register now, BTW), now’s a great time to view some of the on-track action from the May 12-15, 2022, Time Trials Nationals at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY, as seen from the cockpit of two of the fastest cars at this year’s event:

Driver: Tom O’Gorman
Class: Unlimited 1
Car: 2019 Chevrolet Corvette
Fastest lap time of the event: 2:05.304

Driver: Justin Peachey
Class: Max 1
Car: 2007 Chevrolet Corvette
Fastest lap time of the event: 2:07.931

If that’s got you revved up – and assuming you don’t live near Thompson Speedway for the upcoming round of the Time Trials National Tour – keep in mind that the 2022 Time Trials National Tour runs through early November and spans much of the country. Following Thompson, the National Tour heads to GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI, on July 15-17, New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ, on Aug. 5-7, and then Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA, on Aug. 26-28. From there, the National Tour travels west for a stop at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow, CA, on Oct. 28-30, followed by the National Tour’s 2022 season finale at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA, on Nov. 4-6.
