2024 Time Trials National Tour Season is Almost Here

2024 Time Trials National Tour Season is Almost Here

The track has barely cooled from the 2023 Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty season, and here we are with the 2024 schedule. That’s right, what lies before you are seven weekends you’ll either be participating in Time Trials National Tour (TTNT) events, or wishing you were. But why are we talking about this in November? Because the first event is barely two months away, and it’s no gamble to say it’s one you won’t want to miss.

The seven-stop TTNT series begins its cross-country journey in…Vegas, Baby! Yup, the first stop of the Tour will take place in Nevada at Las Vegas Motor Speedway – and the success of this event is no roll of the dice. Situated just 30 minutes north of the strip, the multi-faceted Las Vegas Motor Speedway facility has hosted everything from pro races to autocrosses – and on Feb. 17-18, it’ll host you and your friends during the opening round of the 2024 TTNT.

At Las Vegas Motor Speedway, TTNT participants will tackle the 2.4-mile road course that boasts three straightaways and 14 corners, offering plenty of opportunities for drivers to lay down their personal bests and set new TTNT track records in the process.

Like most TTNT weekends on the 2024 schedule, the Las Vegas stop will also boast a mash-up schedule, with drivers also getting on the road course via a non-timed Track Event.

There are plenty of racetracks located near Las Vegas, but the TTNT will bypass them all as the Tour heads to VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, VA, on March 9-10. This event was a blowout last year, with a Track Event, car show, and spectators galore. The 2024 VIR stop is slated to blow that out of the water, with tuning shop Driver Motorsports stepping it up a notch, and more motorsports goodness being added to the mix.

NCM Motorsports Park is next up on the schedule, with TTNT drivers heading to Bowling Green, KY, for the May 18-19 event. In many ways, this event is a preview of what’s to come at Time Trials Nationals, which also takes place at NCM Motorsports Park, but in late October.

Like with Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA, is new to the TTNT schedule, and drivers will get a chance to prove their skills on that 2.5 -mile road-course roval on June 15-16. While the Time Trials National Tour has never been to this location, this has proven to be a super popular venue for SCCA’s Track Night in America® Driven by Tire Rack events, with those often selling out. So while we’re not telling you to register early for this one…you’ll want to register early for this one.

The 2024 TTNT schedule then has drivers returning to the ever-popular GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI, on July 20-21, followed by a stop at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA, one month later on Aug. 24-25.

The series then wraps with the Time Trials Nationals at NCM Motorsports Park on Oct. 24-27.

“The 2024 Time Trials National Tour is set to be one of the best,” said John Hunter, SCCA’s Manager of National Time Trials. “I couldn’t be more excited that the Tour retains some of it’s greatest hits, while adding exciting new venues like Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Pocono Raceway to the TTNT roster. It’s going to be a great year, and I can’t wait to see all the new Personal Bests and Lap Records set at these fun and challenging circuits.”

Meanwhile, 2024’s season-wrapping event – Time Trials Nationals at NCM – will pick up where the 2023 Time Trials Nationals left off.

“Time Trials Nationals will be another amazing event, building off the momentum that began in 2023 when Grassroots Motorsports joined the fray with its Ultimate Track Car Challenge,” Hunter concluded. “We learned a lot from the 2023 Time Trials Nationals, and we’ll be building on that, pulling out all the stops for 2024.”
