SCCA Time Trials

We’re already two months into 2024, but have you had any #funwithcars yet? We don’t mean wrenching on beloved vehicles in garages, or whatever you do on roadways to and from work. We mean honest, blood-pumping #funwithcars at a track – especially a track hosting a Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty and Track Event weekend.

You’ve probably already done plenty of work-related stuff for others this year. Now it’s time to treat yourself to at least one self-centered weekend of fun – and for that, we suggest May 18-19, 2024, in Bowling Green, KY, at NCM Motorsports Park when the Time Trials National Tour (TTNT) makes a visit there, with time also set aside Saturday and Sunday for those who appreciate non-timed Track Event activities.

Will Brad Pitt Be There?

Maybe. But there’s a 99.998% chance Brad Pitt will not be at the NCM event. Yes, he’s working on a motorsport movie and showing up at certain races, but that doesn’t mean Pitt attends every major motorsport event around the globe.

Who will be there are all your friends that love having #funwithcars as much as you do.

If you’ve never been to an SCCA TTNT and Track Event, then know that there are tons of likeminded “friends-in-waiting” to greet you upon arrival and help with whatever you need to make your weekend a blast.

There’s a 99.999% chance the glorious, giant, and renown TTNT refrigerator-turned-smoker will make the scene, prepping mouthwatering goodies shared by all during Saturday’s Hagerty Social Dinner Party – and this smoker is waaaay hotter than Brad Pitt. That alone makes it worthwhile to be at NCM that weekend. And if you take advantage of at-track camping, you’ll be able to stroll right over to your campsite for a nap afterwards.

The real “celebrity” in Bowling Green that weekend will be NCM’s track. It’s a 3.15-mile joyride. Boasting more elevation than you expect with seemingly endless corners and bends that challenge the mind, it’s a feast for your senses. The NCM circuit requires full focus and concentration, which makes for an intense mental escape from everyday life. Dancing through an NCM lap makes work, bills, and other stressors turn to dust and float away like the end of the movie Avengers Infinity War. (Oops, spoiler alert.)

Time On Track

Be it TTNT or Track Event drivers, everyone gets four 20-minute sessions on course each day. That time will be of immense value for those planning to compete in October 2024 at NCM during the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty.

The May 18-19, 2024, NCM event schedule also allows for just enough free time to meet with friends, watch other drivers out on circuit, or spend time hammering around NCM’s kart track. The National Corvette Museum is also just around the corner for those who want an eyeful of historic machinery.
