- A licensed HillClimb Safety Steward is the onsite official at a sanctioned event who determines course readiness.
- The Hillclimb Safety Steward will utilize the Hill Guide and Program Safety Checklist (if applicable) to ensure all modifications have been made.
- Duties:
- Prior to the Event: 1-2 days prior to cars on the course, the HillClimb Safety Steward must WALK the hill to ensure that the course is readiness, all Hill Guide requirements have been satisfied and there have not been any changes to the course that creates a safety or operational concern.
- Each Morning before the day’s activities begin: The HillClimb Safety Steward must drive the full course to review the course for readiness. Ensure that no changes have occurred since the course review walk.
- HillClimb Safety Steward licenses may be authorized by the Experiential Program Lead or a licensed HillClimb Course Reviewer. Training will be administered by the Experiential Program Lead or a licensed HillClimb Course Reviewer.
