More than a Dozen SCCA Women on Track Scholarships up for Grabs in 2025
In the last year, SCCA Women on Track awarded more than $8,000 in scholarships to women looking to advance their motorsport careers. Spanning everything from SCCA® Autocross to Road Racing, RoadRally, Time Trials, and RallyCross®, these scholarships helped assist women in achieving their motorsports dreams. Inspired by last year’s successes, these scholarships are returning for 2025, with SCCA Women on Track offering even more opportunities for women looking to have #funwithcars – all that’s needed is for you to apply.
In 2024, Wendi Allen Scholarships were presented to Ashley Weaver, Sarah Miles, and Shelby Redding, with each woman being offered a $1,500 scholarship in support of their travel to Tire Rack National Solo® events and the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships. Cindy Duncan and Shellie McKee were presented with Time Trials National Tour (TTNT) Scholarships, with each receiving $1,000 to put toward attending TTNT events in 2024. Jodie Boy, meanwhile, received a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty.
Reagan Thomas and 16-year-old Solo National Champion Olivia Hammac were presented with $1,000 scholarships to attend SCCA competition Drivers’ Schools, with Shelby Robbins being the recipient of a $500 scholarship to work the 2024 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco.
In the rally programs, 16-year-old Lucy Schnippel used her $500 scholarship to attend the 2024 United States RoadRally Challenge®, while Ceili McClarney was presented with a $500 scholarship to use toward her attendance of the 2024 RallyCross National Championship.
“I got into RallyCross at the beginning of this year with the goal of working my way up to stage rally, and RallyCross seemed like a great entry into loose surface racing – I was immediately hooked,” says 18-year-old McClarney. “I knew I wanted to compete at the RallyCross Nationals, but the price of attending was daunting for a high school student. The Women on Track scholarship allowed me to compete without worrying. The application process was straightforward, I got to meet a lot of amazing Women on Track ladies at the event, and the scholarship enabled me to put more work into my car in preparation because my travel/entry was covered. I can’t wait for the next RallyCross season! Thank you so much SCCA and Women on Track!”
"The scholarship was really easy to apply for," Schnippel adds. "I got the email that I had received the scholarship when I was sitting in class one day and I got so excited I almost screamed in the middle of a really quiet classroom. My dad went out to USRRC with me and we used the money received to help cover the costs of our flights. Because I got the scholarship, I was able to go to the West Coast and the mountains for the first time in my life. I really do think that others should apply for it because I met so many new people and got to experience such an amazing trip. I’m going to remember that trip forever and all of the amazing memories that came out of it."
All of these scholarships are returning for the 2025 season, with SCCA Women on Track aiming to further expand the reach of these programs, offering more opportunities to as many women as possible.
“At SCCA, we believe in empowering female drivers and motorsports enthusiasts through a variety of programs," says SCCA Lead Marketing Manager and Women on Track Staff Liaison Andie Albin. "Our scholarship programs, funded by the SCCA Foundation, are a testament to our commitment to providing gateways into motorsports for women."
Applicants needn’t be a member of the Sports Car Club of America to apply for any of the SCCA Women on Track scholarships, although it may be a requirement for event participation.
