    About Me:

I am a member of the Buccaneer Region in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida.  I am the chief of grid and pit lane for the region as well as the Divisional Administrator for Pit and Grid for the Southeast Division.  I started out helping an old boss of mine with Porsche Club events in Atlanta and worked with the local SCCA grid staff for Road Atlanta during those events.  They got me interested in helping out with the SCCA club races at Road Atlanta and I've been hooked ever since.

To me a weekend at the track allows me to totally escape from my "regular" life.  When you are working an event you don't have time to worry about what is going on at home or at work or you will allow yourself or someone else to get hurt.

Working pit lane and grid is what I enjoy most.  I've gotten to the point that, unless a friend of mine is on the track, I don't really pay attention to what is going on out on the racing surface.  I really enjoy the face-to-face connection with the drivers that being on pit lane or grid affords you.  My take on what we do on grid, for example, is that during an ideal weekend a driver should see three specialties - registration, tech, and grid.  If they see anyone else they are probably having a bad weekend.  I want my part of that "ideal" weekend as smooth and as fun for the drivers as possible.
